jpeekaboo is a super easy app made in Java. It lets you jot down notes right on your desktop, so you can keep track of important stuff like tasks, meetings, birthdays, or even vacations. How cool is that?

Simple Setup and Use

This app is really user-friendly. Even if you're not tech-savvy, you'll find it easy to set up and use. Plus, if you've got Java installed on your computer, you don’t need to install anything else! The whole program comes as just one file. You can copy this file to any folder you want or even a USB drive. That way, you can run it on any PC that has Java without any fuss.

Quick Access with System Tray

When you start jpeekaboo, it puts an icon in your system tray. This makes it super quick to access its settings whenever you need them. A blank note pops up on the right side of your screen with a friendly yellow background. If it's not in use, it hides away nicely. Just move your cursor over to the right side again to bring it back!

Customization Options

If you want to keep the note from hiding automatically, just hold down the Ctrl button and double-click anywhere on the note—easy peasy! You can also change its size by holding Ctrl again and dragging it horizontally.

No Frills Note-Taking

Now, there isn't a fancy context menu or options for customizing text or backgrounds within the notes. But hey, if you prefer having the window pinned to the left instead of the right side of the screen? You can do that too! Just adjust its height based on your screen size.

Your Notes are Remembered!

The best part? jpeekaboo remembers where your notes were pinned and their height when you exit. When you come back next time, everything will be just as you left it—except for horizontal size changes; those don’t stick around.

We tested it out ourselves and found that jpeekaboo runs smoothly without slowing down your computer or causing crashes. It's light on resources but gets the job done!
