KIMToy FOR LINUX is an innovative input method interface designed specifically for KDE users. It offers a seamless experience for those looking for an alternative to the kimpanel plasmoid. Developed by Ni Hui, this standalone application is free to download and enhances the user experience without compromising the stability of your desktop environment.

  • Standalone application with no dependency on plasma

  • Integrates seamlessly with Asian input methods like fcitx, scim, and ibus

  • Supports fcitx, ibus, and scim out of the box starting from version 0.2

  • Ability to load Sogou and fcitx input method themes from versions 0.4 and 1.1 respectively

  • Requirements: ibus (version >= 1.3.0), fcitx (version >= 4.0), scim (version >= 1.4.9)



Installation Instructions:


To install KIMToy FOR LINUX, follow these simple steps:


mkdir build && cd build
cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=`kde4-config --prefix` ..
make
sudo make install
