kio_mtp is a reliable ioslave for mtp devices on Linux that provides seamless connectivity for file management.
Technical Specifications
- Extract in a directory, cd into it
- $ gmake -f Makefike.cvs, $ ./configure, $ make && sudo make install
- Depends on libmtp, ensure libmtp and libmtp-dev are installed
- Restart kdeinit with "kdeinit", connect the device, launch konqueror
- Type "mtp://" in the address bar to access the device
- Alpha release for testing purposes only
- Can list files but does not support upload/download
- Ensure data backup to prevent data loss
