What is KVirtual FOR LINUX?


KVirtual FOR LINUX


KVirtual is a KDE4 GUI-frontend for kvm/qemu emulators, providing a fast and easy way to configure a virtual host. While not all kvm options are currently supported, the app is continuously improving.



Features:



  • Memory size configuration

  • Number of CPU selection

  • USB Support

  • Snapshot capability

  • Boot device customization

  • Display options: none, direct (sdl), vnc with configurable port (host is localhost)

  • Video card settings

  • Keyboard preferences

  • Storage choices: file (create new qcow2 image) and type (disk, cdrom, floppy)

  • Iface configurations: model, connection type (none, tap, or vde), hardware address, up and down script for tap



Installation Instructions:


To install KVirtual, follow these steps:



  • cd

  • mkdir build

  • cd build

  • cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=$KDEDIRS -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=RelWithDebInfo ..
