Metro GTK+

Metro GTK+ is a cool theme inspired by the Metro UI from Windows Phone 7. If you want to give your desktop a fresh look, this is a fantastic choice!

How to Install Metro GTK+

Installation:

1. First, download the theme.


2. Next, head to where you saved that file.


3. Then, just drag the file onto the Appearance Window in the theme tab. Easy peasy!

Setting Up the Panel

Install the panel:

1. Right-click on an empty spot in your panel and select Properties.


2. Go to the Background tab and choose a background image.


3. Navigate to the theme folder and then into the panel folder. Select panel-hud.png.

Troubleshooting Tips

If you need some help:

• If your toolbar looks like it has two different colors split halfway, let me know!


• I can help you match widgets for specific rc files if you're having trouble.


• If check and radio buttons are white but your text is black in Murrine, we can fix that too!

The name GNOME originally stood for GNU Network Object Model Environment—but that's not used anymore. The main goal here? Keep things simple and user-friendly so they just work without fuss!
