Mint-X-Metal-Dark

Mint-X-Metal-Dark is a cool blend of the SkiesOfAzel's Mint-X-Metal GTK theme that originally came with Linux Mint 11 "Katya." This version has some neat tweaks to give it a fresh look:

What's New in Mint-X-Metal-Dark?

• A sleek dark panel,


• Brushed metal backgrounds for the menu, toolbar, and status bar, just like the mintMenu background from the original theme.

The Metacity theme here is based on SkyOfAzel's Minty-Freshness. I made some changes to ensure that active windows show dark titles, making it easier on the eyes!

How to Install Mint-X-Metal-Dark

If you want to set up this theme, just follow these simple steps:

1. Right-click on your desktop and choose Change Desktop Background.


2. Select the first tab labeled Theme.


3. Drag and drop the theme's archive into the Appearance Preferences window.


4. If everything goes smoothly, you’ll see a confirmation message. You can then activate the theme by simply clicking on it!

About GNOME

Now let’s talk about GNOME! It’s an international project aimed at creating a complete desktop environment. The name originally stood for GNU Network Object Model Environment (which sounds fancy), but we don’t really use that acronym anymore. The main focus of the GNOME project is simplicity and usability; they want everything to just work without any fuss!
