If you're thinking about upgrading mintMenu, there's a little prep work you need to do first. You’ll want to clean out your Gconf entries. This means you'll lose your mintMenu preferences, but hey, sometimes you gotta make sacrifices for a shiny new version!
Steps to Clean Gconf Entries
Ready to get started? Here’s how:
- First, right-click on the mintMenu and remove it from the Gnome panel.
- Next, open up a terminal and type this command:
gconftool-2 –recursive-unset /apps/mintMenu.
That’s it! Once you've done that, you can grab mintMenu 4.1. You can either find it in the Romeo repositories or download the .deb files from the download page.
