Nectar is a handy little tool that helps you keep track of your upcoming events right from your status bar. It connects with your Calendar app and creates a countdown timer for the next big thing on your agenda.

How Does Nectar Work?

Once you install Nectar, it links up with your Calendar application. It goes through all the events you've set and automatically finds the one that's coming up next. You’ll see the task name and how much time is left until it starts right in the Nectar status bar menulet.

Manage Your Tasks Easily

The cool thing about Nectar is that its status bar panel can display up to two different tasks at once. Plus, you'll see a timer for the closest event directly in the status bar icon! This means you can keep an eye on how much time you have without having to click around.

Skipping Events

If you want to skip an event, that's possible too! Just remember that when you do this, Nectar will only let you skip the first item in your list, not whichever one you'd like.

Notifications and Visual Cues

Nectar makes it super easy to manage notifications! In the Preferences section, you can quickly turn notification options on or off. It also provides visual cues right at the event time or even 1 to 5 minutes before it starts—so you're always ready!

Selecting Calendars

The app detects which calendars have events and lets you choose whether or not to show those items in Nectar. Keep in mind that there isn't any other way to filter these entries.

Restart for Changes

If you make changes in preferences, just note that you might need to restart Nectar for them to take effect.
