NetWhistler is a handy tool for keeping an eye on the computers connected to your local area network (LAN). Usually, network admins handle this stuff, but with NetWhistler, you can take charge and see what's going on in your network.

Scan Your Network Easily

If you're curious about what devices are plugged into your network or want to make a map showing where each workstation, server, or any other device is located, this utility could be just what you need. Once you finish the setup process, you can jump right in and start using it. The first thing you'll do is run an initial scan to find all the connected devices. To get started, just click on 'Wizard' from the 'Map' menu. In the box that pops up, you'll specify the network address and mask for your scan.

User-Friendly Interface

The main window has plenty of space for arranging all your devices, making it easy to see everything at a glance. Plus, all the important commands are right there in the toolbar for quick access.

Creating Your Network Map

The scanning process might take a little time with NetWhistler, but once it's done, you'll be able to start building your network map. Adding new nodes and shapes is super simple! You can even turn on monitoring for each device so you know how they’re doing.

Customize Your View

You have options when it comes to how items appear on your map. Instead of seeing them by DNS name, you can switch to showing IP addresses instead. One cool feature of this software is its ability to send email alerts. If one of the monitored nodes goes down or crashes, you'll get notified right away!

Comprehensive Device Detection

NetWhistler does a great job finding and displaying various devices like workstations, servers, routers, modems, hubs and more while allowing users to arrange each node wherever they want on their map.
