NewBreeze is an open source, freely distributed, multiplatform, sleek, fast and stylish graphical file manager built on top of the dynamic Qt toolkit. It is designed as a drop-in replacement for the default file manager of various desktop environments that use the Qt framework, such as KDE Plasma, Razor-qt or LXQt.
To install this software on your GNU/Linux system, you will have to download the latest version from Softpedia using the big Download button above, save the archive somewhere on your path, extract it, enter the NewBreeze folder, and edit the $$PREFIX qmake variable to your choice.
The software is written in the C++ programming language and uses the cross-platform Qt GUI toolkit for its graphical user interface. Besides the Qt libraries, it also requires the libmagic, liblzma, libtar, libzip, libbzip2, and zip packages.
It runs on GNU/Linux and UNIX-like systems, as well as on the Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X operating systems. Both 64-bit and 32-bit instruction set architectures are supported at this time.
