Nord Modular Editor

Nord Modular Editor is an awesome open-source tool for anyone using Clavia Nord Modular and Micro Modular synthesizers. If you're into music production, you’ll definitely want to check it out!

Getting Started with Nord Modular Editor

To kick things off, you can start Nomad by simply running this command:

java -jar nomad.jar

Reporting Issues

If you run into any problems with Nomad, don’t worry! You can report them on the nmedit-devel mailing list. Just remember to attach a copy of your log file (nomad.log) if it’s relevant to your issue.

Your Feedback Matters!

Since our team doesn't have a Micro Modular, we can't test the application directly on that model. So, if you have any feedback about what works or doesn’t work, please share! Your input helps us improve support for the Micro Modular. If you see errors, make sure to send that nomad.log file to the nmedit-devel mailing list too.

Setup Instructions

Before you launch the editor, take a moment to edit the configuration file located at:

nomad/conf/application.xml

You’ll need to change this line:

< entry key="nordmodular.slots" >4< /entry >

to:

< entry key="nordmodular.slots" >1< /entry >

Requirements:

• Java Runtime Environment 1.5 or later is needed – we tested it with JRE 6 on Ubuntu 7.10.

• You can transform one module into another while keeping all your parameter values and connections intact!


• A randomizer feature lets you randomize patch parameters or modules!
