Description

NtdIsp

NtdIsp is a super handy, free software that works on different platforms. It's open source and built using C/GTK+. This tool is designed to help you program STM32 and NXP LPC embedded chips. Plus, if you need it for other devices, you can tweak it to fit your needs.

How NtdIsp Works

This software uses the native ISP protocol, also called ICSP (In-Circuit Serial Programming) or ICP (In-Circuit programming), to program the embedded devices. It makes the whole process easier by letting your device communicate directly with the programmer.

Different User Interfaces

NtdIsp offers three cool ways to interact with it! First up, there’s a GTK+-based graphical user interface (GUI) for those who prefer a friendly visual setup. Then there’s a command-line utility for the tech-savvy folks out there, as well as a GObject-based library for developers who want to dive deeper.

Using the Graphical Interface

The graphical interface is super straightforward. After you install NtdIsp, just kick it off from your desktop's main menu. You’ll see a simple dialog where you pick your device and choose an ISP protocol—either NXP LPC (for in-system programming) or STM32 (using USART protocol).

Configuring Your Settings

You can enable or disable options like “Perform the initialization step: autobaud, sync,...”. If you want to erase flash memory before writing new data, just check that box! You can also specify where to write data and even set up verification after writing. Want to run the program only after a successful write? You got it! And if you ever need to stop things mid-process, just hit 'Close'!

Cross-Platform Compatibility

The best part? NtdIsp is cross-platform! It works on any GNU/Linux distribution and Microsoft Windows too. It’s been tested on both 32-bit and 64-bit systems without any hiccups.
