Installation Instructions:


To start using nvpy, follow these simple steps:



  1. Install the latest development version from GitHub by running: pip install git+https://github.com/cpbotha/nvpy.git#egg=nvpy

  2. Alternatively, you can install the version on PyPI with: pip install nvpy

  3. Or use easy_install with: easy_install nvpy



Getting Started:


Once installed, create a file called .nvpy.cfg in your home directory and add the following:


[default]


sn_username = your_simplenote_username


sn_password = your_simplenote_password



Launch the application by typing "nvpy" in your terminal. The first run will retrieve all your Simplenote notes, so it may take some time. Subsequent launches will be faster as it uses the stored database.



For font and size customization, refer to the example nvpy.cfg.
