Description
PictureFlow
PictureFlow is a cool widget that lets you display images with some really neat animated transitions. It's kind of like Apple’s Cover Flow, which you might have seen in iTunes or on an iPhone. This software runs smoothly on smartphones and other mobile devices because it uses a special portable renderer.
Key Features of PictureFlow
Here are some key features:
- Fast and lightweight
- No floating-point operation needed
- No OpenGL required
- Works without 3D hardware acceleration
Where Can You Use PictureFlow?
PictureFlow works great on:
- Your desktop or laptop, even if it has an old graphics card!
- The Trolltech Greenphone, which runs Qtopia (shoutout to Jonas Hurrelmann for reporting this!)
- The HTC Touch smartphone that uses Qt/WinCE (thanks to Espen Riskedal for the info!)
- The Chumby, which is an open-system hardware widget (big thanks to Jesper Thomschtz for sharing this).
What’s New in This Release?
This initial release brings you basic functions similar to what you’d find in Apple's Cover Flow. Plus, there’s an optimized renderer that even includes an optional blur effect for reflections! And the best part? It supports Qt versions 2, 3, and 4 all from one code base.
