Ping Range

Ping Range is a handy network tool that helps you ping a specific range of IP addresses. It’s great for figuring out which devices are connected to your local network. This means you can easily spot the used IP addresses!

What Does Ping Range Do?

The main goal of this app is to scan for devices on your network and gather important details like their network name and MAC address. It sends data packets to each device and lists the ones that respond. Super simple, right?

How to Scan for Devices

If you want to do a scan, just enter a list of IP addresses. You have three easy options: ping one address, ping a range by entering the first and last IP, or create a BAT file that runs without needing the program open.

Pinging Made Easy

Need to ping just one computer? No problem! Just type in the IP address or host name. If you're unsure about the exact IP, you can check multiple addresses by entering an entire range. The program will ping them one by one and show you the results right in the main window.

Using the Batch Wizard

This tool also has something called a Batch Wizard. It creates a BAT file with all your ping commands, which runs in command prompt mode. This method is faster but does skip some info like MAC addresses or host names. Plus, it doesn’t allow exporting results.

Exporting Results

You can export all your search results including IP addresses, MAC addresses, and hostnames for each device found. You can even generate an activity report showing all contacted addresses and their responses! These reports are saved as CSV or text files so you can keep track of everything.

Lightweight & Portable

Ping Range is super compact (less than 1 MB) and easy to carry around on a USB drive for use on other computers. Whether at home checking for unauthorized devices on your Wi-Fi or at work identifying what’s connected to your DHCP server, it’s really useful!
