Description

PingCOPA

PingCOPA is a super handy tool for network engineers who need to keep an eye on and fix network issues. It’s like having a trusty sidekick when things go wrong!

Easy Installation on Windows

This program can be installed on almost all 32-bit Microsoft Windows operating systems, but just not Windows 95. If you want to hear it speak, make sure you have the Microsoft Text-to-Speech engine set up.

Multiple Sessions at Once

One of the cool features of PingCOPA is that it allows you to run multiple ping and traceroute sessions at the same time. You can even open several windows so you can watch many subnets and IP address ranges together. It’s perfect for multitasking!

Save Your Work Easily

You can save your ping sessions too! This means you can easily recall address ranges and search options later. Plus, if you need to share results, it’s simple to copy them to your clipboard and paste them into a spreadsheet.

Automatic URL Resolution

The software automatically resolves addresses into URLs whenever possible. And guess what? There’s also a MAC address lookup feature that comes in handy!

Traceroute Options

The traceroute function works with both ICMP and UDP hops, which is great for detailed analysis. There’s even a network calculator built-in that helps determine subnet masks and ranges.

Email Alerts and Logging

You can set up emails, speech alerts, or file logging at regular intervals using the snapshot feature or when there are changes in connection states with the alarm system. You can link these alarms with any IP address so they monitor automatically when pinged.

Key Features of PingCOPA Ping and Traceroute

  • Pings support ICMP requests across multiple individual IPs or ranges.

  • Simultaneous traceroutes display responses from both ICMP and UDP requests.

  • Makes it easy to find MAC addresses for devices on local subnets.

  • If your machine supports it, voice alerts let engineers monitor networks without staring at screens.

  • You can create alarms for specific IPs that notify you when something goes off track.

  • A bunch of command line tools are included to show results from OS network commands like NetStat!

Limitations of PingCOPA

The trial lasts for 30 days before you'll see a nag screen pop up reminding you it's time to buy!
