What is PISMO FOR LINUX?

PISMO

PISMO is a cool software tool that helps you write text similar to the old Slavonic style found in ancient church documents. Pretty neat, right?

Features of PISMO

This software works on multiple platforms, so whether you're using GNU/Linux, Windows, or Mac OS X, you're good to go! You can also import and export files in both RTF (Rich Text Format) and HTML (HyperText Markup Language). Plus, it gives you three different modes to choose from!

Getting Started with PISMO

If you want to try out PISMO on your GNU/Linux computer, the first step is to download the demo archive. Head over to Softpedia, click on the Download button above, select the ZIP archive, and wait for it to start downloading. If it doesn't kick off automatically, just hit the Manual Download button.

Installing PISMO

Once it's downloaded, save the files somewhere easy to find. Open up your favorite archive manager and extract everything into a folder of your choice (like your Home folder). Now go into that folder, find the Linux subfolder, and double-click on the PISMO executable.

Using the Demo Version

The application will fire up quickly but do note that some features are locked in this demo version—like importing or exporting files and copying/pasting text. Just click 'Start' when prompted! After that, you'll need to pick between Traditional, Phonetic, or Glagolitic modes.

Your Typing Experience

Depending on which mode you choose for typing, you'll see a typing machine along with some functions displayed (most of which are disabled in demo mode). It's user-friendly!

Fonts Needed for PISMO

To make sure PISMO looks just right as intended by its developers, you'll need two specific fonts included in the demo package available at Softpedia.
