Description
Placid
Placid is a cool software that came from the mind of Phil Loathes. It was designed as a replacement for CMU's ACID, which honestly had some issues. It was just too big, way too slow, and had a bunch of requirements that were hard to manage.
Why Choose Placid?
Phil basically started from scratch and rewrote almost everything using Python! This made it more efficient and user-friendly. If you’ve ever struggled with ACID, you’ll appreciate how much easier Placid can make things.
Requirements to Use Placid
If you're thinking about trying Placid out, here are the requirements you need:
- Apache HTTP server
