• Good Documentation: The manual covers the language well now but they want to add tips on choosing statistical procedures and understanding results.


• Support for Large Data Sets: They’re working on being able to handle huge datasets efficiently—much larger than what your memory can hold.

Aiding Developers

If you’re a developer wanting to extend PSPP with new stats procedures, here’s what the team wants to provide:

• Easier Syntax Parsing: Currently, parsing is a bit tricky and needs manual coding. They want a better parser generator!


• Simpler Output Production: Right now creating output requires a lot of coding. They aim to make this process more user-friendly.


• A Future Plug-in Interface: While things are changing quickly right now between the core and procedures, a plug-in model could be introduced down the line.
