Description

Radio-SkyPipe

Radio-SkyPipe is a handy tool that helps you record and graph data from different analog or digital devices. Plus, it lets you share that data in real-time with other people online! You can send data to multiple recipients and also collect info from various sources.

Stand Alone Mode

This software can work in Stand Alone mode, which means it acts like a data collection service. You can record sounds using your sound card or an ADC (analog-to-digital converter). After recording, you can save the observations for later viewing or editing.

Server Mode Functionality

When you switch to Server mode, the information you collect can be sent through a TCP/IP connection to many remote computers at once. This makes it super easy to share data across different locations!

Client Mode for Data Reception

The program also features a Client mode. In this mode, it receives data sent from a Radio-SkyPipe server located somewhere else. This flexibility is what makes it so useful!

A Versatile Tool for Multiple Fields

This software is very versatile! It’s perfect for handling data collected during various projects like seismology, radio astronomy, weather observations, and other scientific or industrial tasks.

Using Your Sound Card as a Data Source

You can easily use your sound card as a source of data by collecting information through the line input or microphone jack. The app works with many models of ADCs too!

User-Friendly Documentation Available

If you're new to data collection, don't worry! Radio-SkyPipe comes with extensive documentation. It clearly explains what each feature does and how you can set things up.

A Need for Interface Improvement?

The interface might feel a bit outdated, though. A redesign could really help make it more user-friendly.

Your Go-To Application for Data Gathering

Overall, Radio-SkyPipe is an excellent application aimed at those who want to collect and share data from different sources online in real-time. Although it's designed with specialists in mind, the helpful documentation ensures that anyone can understand its advanced features!
