RGB/HEX Color Picker is a handy little script for Nautilus. It helps you check the codes of any color you select, and you can even darken or lighten the scheme to get just the right shade!



What's Included in the Package?


This package has everything you need:



  • A Python file called Color-Picker

  • A hidden folder named .colorchart

  • A file called view.html



How to Install RGB/HEX Color Picker


To get started, you'll need to extract the package. Make sure to copy all the content from the Color-Picker folder, including that hidden folder called .colorchart, into your Nautilus scripts folder. You can find this folder at: ~/.gnome2/nautilus-scripts/.



What to Copy?


Here's a quick tip: don’t just copy the whole Color-Picker folder! Instead, grab only these three items:



  • Color-picker.py

  • .colorchart

  • .colorchart/view.html
