Description
Slideshow Screensaver
Slideshow Screensaver is a cool screensaver for Gnome that shows a fresh photo every 10 seconds from your $HOME/Pictures folder. If you're looking to spice things up, you can change the photo directory, tweak how long each photo stays on screen, or even set the screensaver delay. But heads up—right now, you'll need to edit the source code to make those changes.
How Does It Work?
This app is super straightforward! But just a little warning: it might not work perfectly with other screensavers like xscreensaver or gnome-screensaver. So keep that in mind if you're using those!
Installation Steps
Getting started is easy! Just follow these simple steps:
- Install the Python package:
- sudo pip install slideshow-screensaver
- Set up the screensaver to run automatically:
- Disable any other screensavers.
- Make watch-idle.py run at startup.
