Smart Installer

Smart Installer is a handy script designed to make your life easier by automatically installing SMART along with its dependencies and related KDE components on a Suse Linux system. If you're tired of doing it manually, this tool is here to help!

Easy Installation Steps

Getting started with Smart Installer is a breeze! Just follow these simple steps:

1. Download the installer.


2. Make the script executable by running: chmod 755 install_script.sh.


3. Run it from the command line as root using: su -c ./smart_install.sh.


4. If prompted, just answer 'yes' to any questions that pop up. And that's it—you’re done!

Your New Setup Includes:

You’ll get a fully working SMART setup, complete with:

• The default Suse Wiki package repositories.


• A KDE service menu for handling any RPM packages.


• A KDE system tray applet called ksmarttray to keep track of package updates.


• A user-friendly SMART GUI for installing new applications easily.

Requirements:

• KDE base (version >= 3.0)
