Description
SortStringD
SortStringD is a handy plug-in that helps you sort selected text in descending order. It’s super easy to use! First, you’ll need to place the SortStringD.dll file into your EmEditor plug-in folder. You can usually find this at C:\Program Files\EmEditor3\PlugIns
. Once you’ve done that, you’re ready to start sorting!
How to Sort Your Text
To get going, just select the text you want to sort and run the SortStringD plug-in. It will automatically organize your chosen text in descending order based on your settings.
Customize Your Sorting Options
If you want to tweak how it sorts things, go to the Tool menu and select Customize Plug-ins. In the Plug-In Settings window, find SortStringD and click on [Properties]. Here are some options you can adjust:
- [Locale:] This lets you specify which locale is used for comparisons.
- [Ignore case] This option ignores case differences while sorting.
- [Do not differentiate between Hiragana and Katakana characters] If checked, this setting treats corresponding Hiragana and Katakana characters as the same.
- [Ignore nonspacing characters] This option ignores nonspacing characters like German umlauts or Japanese voiced sound marks.
- [Ignore symbols] Choose this if you want symbols ignored during sorting.
- [Do not differentiate between half-width and full-width characters] This treats half-width characters as equal to their full-width counterparts in East Asian languages.
- [Treat punctuation marks the same as symbols] This makes punctuation marks act just like symbols when sorting.
