How to Extract the Tarball
If you’ve just downloaded the Squid Graph tarball file, here’s how you can extract it:
- If you're on Redhat Linux or similar:
$ tar -zxvf squid-graph-x.x.tar.gz
- If you're using UNIX-like systems:
$ zcat squid-graph-x.x.tar.gz | tar -xvf -
- Please note: Starting from version 3.0, you need the GD perl module which you can download here.
- SQUID GRAPH runs right out of the box! No need to compile anything.
Running Squid Graph
To start using Squid Graph, first navigate to its bin directory like this:
$ cd \/usr\/local\/squid-graph\/binThen run it with:
$ .\/squid-graph --output-dir=\/var\/www\/html\/reports < \/usr\/local\/squid\/logs\/access.logPlease check your directory permissions!
