Easy Backup Projects

One cool thing about SynchroDir is that each backup is part of a recordable backup project. This means you can create different projects for all sorts of devices like computers, servers, external hard drives, and USB keys. Plus, if you need to transfer data from one computer (let's call it Computer Y) to another (Computer Z), you can do that from a control computer (Computer X). How easy is that?

Create Unlimited Jobs

Each backup project lets you set up an unlimited number of "jobs." When you're done with the backup process, SynchroDir generates a log file so you can keep track of everything. Each job has two main parts: the source (What?) and the destination (Where?), which could be any volume or directory on your system.

Types of Backup Jobs

You have several options when setting up your jobs:

• Mirror: This copies or updates the source (What) in the destination (Where), using filters.


• Synchro: This updates both the source (What) and destination (Where) based on when they were last changed.


• Clean: This clears out what's in the destination (Where) according to certain exclusion filters.


• Move: This moves everything from the source (What) to the destination (Where), then clears out the original source after.
