Synx is a handy add-in for Microsoft Office 2007 Word that helps you record voice while you type. It syncs your voice with your keyboard strokes, making it super easy to go back and listen to what was said at any point in your document! Just click where you want to start the playback, and you're good to go!

These days, lots of students take their laptops to class instead of using old-school pens and paper. With a laptop, not only can you create a Word summary of the lecture, but you can also record it using the built-in microphone. Even though recording lectures is pretty simple, many students don't do it because working with audio files can be tricky compared to written notes.

Search and Translate Directly from Word

Synx isn't just about recording either! It also makes searching the web or translating text a breeze—all right from Word. You can search for info online by selecting text and hitting the Search button (plus, choose your favorite search engine!). For translations, pick your languages, select the text, and hit Go! The translations are powered by Google Translate.

If you want to look up something on Wikipedia while working on your document, just highlight the term and click the Wiki button. It's all about keeping things simple!
