System Monitor is a super handy macOS app that lets you keep an eye on your Mac’s activity in real-time. It's really straightforward to use, so you won't have any trouble figuring it out!

Real-Time Monitoring

This nifty tool can constantly grab the latest technical info and show you all sorts of things like process load, CPU temperature, storage space, RAM usage, disk activity, network traffic, and a whole lot more. It's like having a little dashboard for your Mac right at your fingertips!

User-Friendly Visuals

What’s even cooler? All this data is presented using graphs, pie charts, and numbers up in the menu bar. This way, it doesn’t take up too much screen space while still giving you all the information you need.

Activity Lights Simulation

Plus, System Monitor can mimic those flickering activity lights that you see on network sockets or hard drives. You can choose to display these lights in color or in simple black and white so they blend right into the design of OS X.

Diving Deeper into Data

If you click on any of the graphs shown, you'll get even more details about what’s being monitored. For example, when looking at disk and network activity, you'll see what's going on with your network interfaces and hard disks. The Processors graph helps you check out the CPU load too!

Sensors and Memory Insights

The Sensors feature makes it easy to check fan speed along with the temperature of different components in your monitor. The Memory graph shows how much RAM is active, inactive, or free. There’s also a Volumes section for detailed info about available storage space and Network Interfaces where you can see incoming and outgoing transfer speeds as well as total sent and received packages.

Flexible Measurements

You can also switch the temperature measurement from Celsius to Fahrenheit or Kelvin! Plus, if you're picky about memory measurement systems, there’s an option to switch between classic measurements to standard or Kibi units.

Customize Your View
