The Epeios XML preprocessor (or expp for short) is a handy tool that helps you transform one XML file into another. It uses specific tags that belong to a certain namespace—by default, that's xpp, but you can easily change it if you want. These tags let you manage macros, set values for variables, test those values, and even include files! To put it simply, expp is like what cpp does for C/C++. It's pretty neat!
The expp tool relies solely on system libraries and standard C/C++ libraries. Plus, it comes with its own XML parser! So the best part? You won’t have to install any other packages for expp to run smoothly.
Besides transforming XML files, the expp tool is also great for testing the Epeios XML library. It serves as a solid example of how to use this library effectively.
If you're on Windows, good news! The binary for Windows is included right in the package. For Linux users (or if you're using Cygwin), all you need to do is unpack the package and run 'make' in the directory you've just created.
If you're ready to get started with this awesome tool, don't hesitate! You can download Epeios here.
