Time Switch is a handy tool for Linux users. Almost every Linux user or system admin knows how to shut down their computer using the command line. But what if you're not a pro and want an easier way? That’s where Time Switch comes in! This app lets you power off, reboot, or suspend your system without typing commands—just click and go.
This free and open-source app has a user-friendly design based on GNOME's elements and uses LibAdwaita for a modern look. You won't feel lost trying to figure it out!
At the top of the app, you'll see a big timer that makes it easy to set your shutdown time. If you’re feeling lazy, there are buttons to add +5 or +10 seconds/minutes with just a click!
In the lower part of the window, you can pick one of four actions: Power Off, Reboot, Suspend, or Notification. Plus, if you want a reminder to take breaks (and let’s be honest—we all need those!), you can even set a sound signal.
Once you hit start on the timer, it’ll show how much time is left until your chosen action happens. The best part? It works in the background even if you close the window! And if plans change? No worries! Just hit the big red Stop button.
Time Switch might not be packed with flashy features, but it's super pleasant to use. It looks great on most modern desktop environments too! So if you're tired of wrestling with command lines and want something straightforward, check out Time Switch. It's definitely worth your attention!
