Description
TMeter
TMeter is a handy tool that helps you keep an eye on your network traffic. It’s perfect for tech-savvy folks who want to analyze graphs and create reports easily.
Easy Installation of TMeter
Getting TMeter up and running doesn’t take much time at all! You can install everything you need, skip the VMWare-compatible packet capture driver if you want, or just set up what’s necessary for managing the TMeter service from afar.
User-Friendly Administrative Console
The admin console has a big window with a clean layout. Here, TMeter gathers info about your network adapters for capturing traffic. You can choose a network interface and decide whether it’s public or private. Plus, you can check out important details like the adapter's medium, description, internal name, IP address, mask, MAC addresses, and even whether it’s in promiscuous mode!
Monitor Traffic Stats
With TMeter, you get a cool meter showing your network traffic along with tons of stats! You can look at traffic counters, logs of denied packets, the current list of processes running on your network, DHCP leases, and more.
Customize Your Traffic Counters
You have the power to adjust traffic counters (like changing measurement units), reset counters in the process list, or add IP addresses with extra details like host names and MAC addresses. How neat is that?
Firewall Features
If you're worried about security on public networks, TMeter lets you enable a firewall and specify exceptions. You can also turn on Network Address Translation (NAT) and either set your public IP address manually or let TMeter auto-detect it!
Diving into DHCP Servers
You can set up a DHCP server too! Just manage the IP range and static records while specifying gateway settings and DNS servers.
Edit Filters & Rules Easily
The filters are super flexible! You can edit speed limits or logging rules for packets and headers. Plus, manage URL filters easily as well as connect to various databases like MS SQL Server or MySQL!
Save Your Settings & Customize Appearance
Your filter sets can be saved to files for later use. Want to change graph colors? No problem! You can also password-protect TMeter to keep snoopers away.
No Issues Found!
During testing, we didn’t run into any errors—the tool ran smoothly without crashing! It uses just enough CPU and RAM so your system stays happy while monitoring traffic.
