The Ubuntu Fitts Ambiance theme brings some cool updates to the already great Fitts metacity and Ubuntu's default Ambiance themes. If you want to check out the original designs, I've got those links below!
A big shoutout goes to albyrock87 for the Fitts theme and the talented team at Canonical for the Ambiance artwork. Their hard work really makes this all possible.
If you've got thoughts on how we can improve breadcrumbs or any other tweaks that might make things better for everyone, please drop a comment or send me a message directly. I’d love to hear your ideas!

The Ubuntu Fitts Ambiance theme is meant for use with Ubuntu 11.04, so I’ve changed the panel background to solid black to match the Unity panel nicely. If you’re using GNOME, just rename panel2.png to panel.png in the theme's img folder. For those using Unity, it’s a good idea to set your Unity panel opacity to 0.67 using the Compiz Unity plugin for a smoother look.

GNOME, which stands for GNU Network Object Model Environment (though we don’t really use that acronym anymore), is an international effort aimed at creating a complete desktop environment from free software. This includes frameworks for software development and applications that help manage launching programs, file handling, and window management.
This project is part of the GNU Project and works well with many Unix-like operating systems, especially Linux. The main goal here is simplicity and usability—making sure everything just works without hassle!
