Uni (Folders)
Uni (Folders) started out as a cool Mac OS theme made by The IconBlock Ltd just for personal use. But guess what? I thought it would be fun to try and create a version for Gnome! Big thanks to Sean Smith, the Creative Director, for giving me the green light and responding so quickly.
How to Use the Uni Icons
Just a heads-up: if you want to use these icons for anything commercial, you'll need a license. But if you're just looking to jazz up your desktop, you're in luck!
Getting Started with Installation
The installation is super simple. First, download the tar.bz2 file. Once that's done, right-click on an empty spot on your desktop. From the menu that pops up, select "change background." Then go to "themes" and drag that downloaded file from your desktop into this window. Just like that, you'll have new icons!
Accessing Icons in Root
If you want to see your icons in root mode, there's a quick command you can run in your shell:
sudo ln -s /home/your_name/.icons /root/.iconsThis simple command creates a symbolic link so you can access those icons easily.
