Description
Unison-ssh
Unison-ssh is a handy tool made for folks using the Unison file synchronizer on Windows. Now, Unison is awesome, but it needs SSH to work properly, and that can be a bit tricky on Windows. A lot of people end up using Plink instead, which does a similar job, along with some extra stuff they create to make it work. That's where Unison-ssh comes in as a super convenient option!
Why Use Unison-ssh?
If you already have an ssh.exe file on your computer, chances are you're good to go! You probably don’t even need Unison-ssh in that case. But if you do decide to use it, just know that it's really just a wrapper around Plink. If you’ve got Plink installed somewhere on your system’s path, Unison-ssh will easily find and use it.
No Plink? No Problem!
If you haven't installed Plink yet, don’t worry! When you download Unison-ssh, it comes with its own copy of Plink. So if you’re missing it, Unison-ssh will automatically install that right in your Windows directory for you.
Getting Started with Unison-ssh
Diving into using Unison-ssh is pretty straightforward! Just make sure everything's set up correctly on your system first. With this tool at hand, syncing files becomes a breeze. It's designed to simplify things so you can focus more on what really matters!
