Description
User Commander
User Commander is a nifty little tool that makes managing users on Windows NT and Windows 2000 super simple. It’s designed for mass, non-interactive user management, which is great if you're handling a lot of accounts at once!
Easy User Management
With User Commander, you can easily import, copy, modify, or delete user and group info. It works on any Windows NT or Windows 2000 machine—whether it’s a server or a workstation—and lets you manage users remotely on any other Windows computer.
Modify Settings with Ease
This handy software also helps with changing dial-up settings and Terminal Server properties for users. Plus, you can perform tasks on multiple computers at the same time. So, if you need to update local accounts, change group memberships, or reset passwords across several machines? No problem!
Home Directory Control
User Commander gives you complete control over home directories too! You can create them, share them out, and set up both NTFS and share-level security. You can even configure predefined access levels or set custom security settings for any user or group account.
Simple Input Method
This tool takes input from a simple text file that's easy to customize. You get to decide what the delimiter is! For instance, if you just want to change the logon script for 1,000 accounts, all you need in your file are their usernames and the new script name.
Password Copying Feature
You can even copy passwords from one Windows NT account to another! Just keep in mind this feature only works when both the source and destination systems are running Windows NT.
Key Features of User Commander:
- Copy existing user and group accounts between computers while keeping their groups and home directory security intact.
- Import user info from a delimited text file—automatically creating their home directories!
- Add users to groups effortlessly.
- Easily delete accounts along with their home directory contents.
