Description

Usermin For Webmail FOR LINUX

Usermin For Webmail is an open source, platform-independent, user-friendly, and web-based user interface, a mod of the Usermin software, specially designed for the administration of web-based email applications. It is a stripped-down version of the Usermin application, tailored for web-based email administration. The software comes with a better theme and it has been fully optimized to be used only for the administration of webmails.

Key Features:

  • Open source and platform-independent

  • User-friendly web-based interface

  • Designed for the administration of web-based email applications

  • Optimized for webmail administration

Technical Specifications:

  • File: usermin-1.670-1.noarch.rpm

  • Publisher: Jamie Cameron

  • Price: FREE

  • Compatibility: Debian/Ubuntu, Red Hat Enterprise Linux/Fedora, and compatible OSes

  • Architecture: 64-bit and 32-bit

The application assumes that you already have a running, healthy, and properly configured IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) server installed on your Linux machine, designed to read mbox-formatted directories or email messages from Maildir. Usermin can be used by any non-root user on a UNIX system to perform tasks like reading mail, setting up SSH, configuring mail forwarding, spam filtering, modifying .htaccess files, and viewing database data.

Additional Features:

  • Simplified version of Webmin

  • Targeted at regular users

  • Allows reading email without the need for an IMAP or POP3 server

  • Set up Procmail configurations for email forwarding

  • Configure autoresponders for an email server

With Usermin, non-root users or users with "limited" privileges can also configure spam filtering, view and manage data in PostgreSQL and MySQL databases, edit Apache .htaccess configuration files, interact with fetchmail, add email filters, change passwords, or execute various commands on the Linux server machine.

For your convenience, the program is available for download as native installers for Debian/Ubuntu, Red Hat Enterprise Linux/Fedora, and compatible OSes, as well as a source tarball (tar.gz) file, all optimized for both 64-bit and 32-bit instruction set architectures.
