Description
Web Based PBX Logger
Web Based PBX Logger is a cool tool that takes data from the serial port of your office phone system. It picks out incoming calls and sends that info to an HTTP server for processing. Pretty neat, right?
How It Works
The whole process goes through three simple steps:
- First, it gets the report from the serial port of your phone station.
- Next, it filters the incoming calls based on your selected phone station.
- Finally, it sends the filtered output string to the HTTP server for further processing.
You can even save the data at each step into a text file if you want!
Filters for Different PBX Types
For each type of PBX, there are specific filter files stored in a folder called Filters. Each file has the same name as its corresponding PBX. The first line in these filter files states the name of the PBX, and the second line shows a sample report from that particular system. When testing, this sample is used to check how well the filter works.
Using Filter Commands
The commands in these filters start right at the beginning of a line. Each command can have parameters too! Just remember that one space separates a command from its parameter. It's super easy once you get the hang of it!
