Getting started with Website Investigator is a breeze. The installation process goes smoothly without any hiccups. When you first open it, the app will ask if it can update its database. After that, just restart it, and you're all set!

The main screen of Website Investigator looks nice and simple. You’ll see a world map showing details like the region, country code, sub-region, and when each task was assigned.

How to Use It

You can type in either a website or an IP address to start scanning. Just sit back and wait for the results to pop up! You’ll get info on IP addresses and other names linked to that site. If you want less clutter, there’s even an option to hide the world map for a cleaner view.

System Performance

This app is pretty light on resources too! During our tests, it used very little CPU and RAM, so it won’t slow down your computer at all.

A Few Drawbacks

However, there are some downsides. Unfortunately, Website Investigator hasn't been updated in ages. Because of this, its database isn’t very accurate anymore. In our tests, it struggled to find several countries and sometimes didn’t recognize an active Internet connection or got stuck searching.
