Wii Media Center X is a totally free multimedia server created by Red Kawa. It's super handy because it lets you stream all sorts of pictures, music, videos, and files right from your computer to your Nintendo Wii!

Here are some key features:



  • Videos: You can stream and watch videos in the Flash video format (FLV) on your Wii. Grab flash videos from all over the web or create your own with Wii Video 9.

  • Music: Enjoy playing back MP3s on your Wii without needing an SD card. How cool is that?

  • Pictures: View pictures directly on your Wii without any extra cards needed.

  • Files: Browse through files located on your server easily!



Requirements to Get Started


You'll need:



  • Java Runtime Environment (JRE): This has been tested with JRE6.

  • If you want to set it up, just extract the zip file into an empty folder.

  • Open up a terminal and type:

  • java -jar MediaCenter.jar
  • Keep that terminal open and open a web browser. Just type this in:

  • http://127.0.1.1:8192

Your media experience will be ready to go! Enjoy!

A few updates have been made since the last version:



  • - Removed: CH Flash Video Player.

  • - Added: Flowplayer Flash Video Player for better video streaming.

  • - You can now manually set the IP of the server.

  • - New alerts for Slideshow and Music functionality!
