WordList is a neat little app that does one cool thing: it helps you make a word list from any text document. This tool is super handy if you want to pull out words for crosswords or other fun projects!

Portable and Easy to Use

Since WordList is portable, you can keep it on a USB flash drive. This means you can run it on any computer without leaving a trace behind. No new entries pop up in the Windows Registry, so there’s less chance of messing things up on your system. Plus, when you're done using it, it won't leave files hanging around on your hard drive.

Simplistic Interface for Fast Operations

The app has a straightforward interface where you can easily import text files, emails, and HTML items using the file browser—just keep in mind that drag-and-drop isn't an option here. Once you've got your files loaded in, you can check them out right in the main window.

Create Custom Word Lists

You have some control over how your word list looks! You can choose the minimum word length and set where you want to save your output file—including the name and format. When everything's ready, just hit go! After it's done, you'll see all your words listed alphabetically without any repeats.

Low System Requirements

This handy tool doesn’t hog your computer’s resources; it uses very little CPU and memory while working quickly to finish tasks. During our tests, we didn’t run into any error messages or crashes—it ran smoothly every time!

A Few Limitations to Note

One thing to remember is that even though WordList sets the output format as TXT by default, you have to type the file extension yourself; otherwise, your files might not open correctly. You can also save in other formats like DOC or HTML.

Another small downside? You can't see the output directory before creating it and can't process multiple files at once either. But hey, this tool is easy on resources and comes with a tutorial if you need help! We didn’t face any issues while testing out WordList. It’s a simple solution for extracting words—even if there haven’t been updates recently!
