Xfburn is an open source piece of software that provides users with a highly efficient and modern graphical application for burning CD, DVD, and Blu-ray discs on any GNU/Linux operating systems.
Key Features:
- Burn ISO images, blank CD-RW, DVD+/-RW, and BD-RE discs
- Create ISO images, create Audio-CDs
- Create data discs to CD, DVD, or Blu-ray media
User-Friendly Interface:
The graphical interface is user-friendly, written with the help of the GTK+ toolkit. It consists of four main buttons that allow users to quickly perform various tasks.
File Menu:
- Create new data or audio compositions
- Close the current composition or exit the application
Edit Menu:
Access the preferences dialog
Actions Menu:
Blank rewritable discs or burn prepared compilations
Customizable Interface:
The minimal user interface can be customized from the View menu by adding toolbar and file browser components.
Refresh the current file browser from the View menu as well.
Preferences Dialog:
- Choose a different temporary directory
- Enable automatic cleaning on exit
- Enable viewing of hidden files and human-readable filesizes
- Scan for devices and set the FIFO buffer size in KB
Xfburn is a small, fast, and minimal CD/DVD/BD burning software for the open source ecosystem. It resembles old versions of the Brasero application but with fewer features.
