ZipItFast!

ZipItFast! is a handy compression tool that lets you create new archives in formats like ZIP, TAR, Black Hole (BH), CAB, LHA, LHZ, or JAR. Plus, it can extract files from other archive formats such as EXE, ACE, ARC, RAR, UUE, and PACK. It even has some cool features like checking the integrity of your archives and making self-extracting files.

Easy Setup Process

The setup is pretty straightforward! Just keep an eye out toward the end when ZipItFast! might ask to change some settings in your browsers. No worries though—you can easily say no and keep everything as it was!

User-Friendly Interface

When you launch the app for the first time, it will ask if you want to set up file associations for archives. The interface looks a bit different but don't worry; it's easy to navigate once you get used to it.

Create Your Own Archives

If you're looking to create a new archive, just give it a name and choose where to save it. You can pick what files and folders you want to include. Then select the output format and adjust settings for file attributes like whether they should be archived or hidden. You can even choose different compression speeds and how directories are stored.

Managing Your Files

Once you've opened an archive, you'll see all its contents right there along with details like name, date & time created, size, packing ratio, and more for each file. Want to extract some files? Just select them and pick any location on your disk.

Additional Features

You can also add or edit comments on files within the archive or even run console commands! Need to test archives? No problem! You can rename or move files around too. Plus, download ZipItFast!, which lets you integrate this tool into Windows Explorer for quick access.

A Few Downsides

This tool does compress archives quickly while using minimal system resources. However, we noticed some errors during testing that caused a few crashes when fiddling with settings. The interface could definitely use some updates too! Keep in mind that ZipItFast! hasn't been updated in a while so it may have compatibility issues with newer operating systems; it's best suited for older Windows versions.
