AddMovie is a small but super handy app for OS X that makes it super easy to join several video files into one movie. The user interface is really straightforward, so you won't feel lost while using it!
The main window of AddMovie is split into two sections. On the left, there’s the File List panel, where you can see all your loaded video files. On the right, you’ll find a user-friendly toolbar that lets you browse for files, clear your list, reverse actions, sort by category, split movies, or check out preferences.
Joining videos together is as easy as drag and drop! Just pick two or more video files and drop them in the File List panel. You can arrange them in any order you like. Once you have everything set up, just click the “Add Movies” button. A dialog box will pop up asking for a name and where to save your new movie.
If you find a video online that you want to include, AddMovie has got you covered! You can drag URLs straight from your web browser into the file list. The app will download the video for you and add it right in.
AddMovie also comes with a cool Viewer window that lets you preview your edited videos. You can control how fast it plays and even save specific frames as images or set a poster frame!
If you're looking to split videos instead of merging them, that's simple too! Just slide the playhead to where you'd like to cut and click “Split…”. You'll then choose where to save this new part of your movie.
If you're on the hunt for an easy tool to merge or split video files without any hassle, AddMovie should definitely be on your radar!
