Alternate Consumption Calc is a straightforward application that allows users to capture and store all the necessary meter readings and consumption values for typical utilities and commodities such as gas, water, electric energy, and so forth.

For starters, it’s worth noting that up to only eight data types can be stored in a single file. Of course, you are provided with the possibility of changing their names, factors, and if they should be active or not. To do this, simply access the File Settings section from the app’s toolbar.

All the relevant results (Day Values, Average Values, and Sum Values) are displayed in the upper part of the main window, right beneath the Tab toolbar. You can also define the default values for new files, and also determine how the data should be displayed and calculated from the Options menu.

In the aforementioned section, you can also tweak aspects such as the number of digits, the date format, decimal separator, as well as the fonts used. Another advantage of Alternate Consumption Calc is the fact that it allows you to export the captured and stored data from each month directly to CSV files.
