Description

Ambiance & Radiance Themes for Xfce/Open

Ambiance & Radiance Themes for Xfce/Open is a GTK theme that brings the classic Ambiance and Radiance styles to your XFCE and Openbox desktops. If you're looking to give your desktop a fresh look, this theme does just that with native window decorations.

Get That Ubuntu Feel

Now you can enjoy the unified desktop experience of the Ambiance/Radiance themes, which are the default themes for Ubuntu. It’s pretty neat because it gives you that same vibe right on your XFCE or Openbox setup!

A Bit of Background

This theme is based on the official Ambiance and Radiance designs, but don’t worry! We made only a few tweaks so it stays true to the original look. You’ll find both GTK2 and GTK3 widget themes included, plus window borders that fit perfectly.

No More Windows 95 Look!

If you've tried other themes with GTK3 before, you might have noticed they can sometimes look outdated (like Windows 95!). But not with this one! It’s built to work smoothly with GTK3, ensuring your apps maintain their modern appearance.

Separate Theme Installation

This isn't just any old installation; it sets up as a separate theme specifically for XFCE and Openbox. Make sure you stick with the official Ambiance/Radiance themes if you're using Gnome or Unity.

Complete Theme Package

The goal here is to provide an accurate port of these popular themes. We've worked hard to keep everything in line with the original design while making sure it fits well within XFCE/Openbox environments. Plus, we’ve updated some aspects of the window borders as well!

How to Install It?

If you’re ready to switch things up, just right-click on your desktop and select Change Desktop Background. Go to the first tab labeled Themes, then drag and drop the theme's archive into the Appearance Preferences window. If all goes well, you'll see a confirmation message letting you know it's ready to use!

A Quick Note About GNOME

Just so you know, GNOME is all about creating a user-friendly desktop environment using free software. It's designed with simplicity in mind, making sure everything just works without much hassle.
