If you want to take notes, just go to the “View” menu and switch over to the notepad editor. Its design is also pretty basic but functional. You can select text, copy it, and even export your notes as .astf files by choosing where to save them!
No More Google News?
This app used to let you access Google News right from your browser, but sadly that feature has been discontinued now.

During our tests, Anansi CalcPad didn’t slow down our computer at all—it runs smoothly without hogging CPU or memory resources. The app stayed stable throughout its use; no freezes or crashes here!
A Few Drawbacks
The visual side of things could definitely use some improvements. And if you're looking for fancy features or customization options, this might not be the best fit since it hasn’t seen updates in quite a while.
