Any Color You Like is a cool GNOME icon theme packed with colors. If you love customizing your desktop, this icon set is a fun way to brighten things up!
I'm a big fan of tweaking my color settings in GNOME, but one thing that always bugged me was finding matching colored icons. I wanted to make sure everything looked just right. So, I took matters into my own hands and created this neat icon set!
For this project, I borrowed some icons from the MonoBlack and area.o42 icon sets. Big shoutout to the awesome creators of those themes for their amazing work!
If you want to change the colors on your icons, it's super easy! Just follow these steps:
/your_home_folder/.icons/AnyColorYouLike
.A terminal window will pop up asking for a color code. Here's where you can get creative! Just type in a six-digit hexadecimal number prefixed by a "#." For example: #FF0000
will give you red.
After entering your color code, you may need to refresh your desktop to see the changes. You can do this by logging out and back in or typing these commands in the terminal:
killall gnome-panel
killall nautilus
This will reset the panels and file manager so you can enjoy your new colorful look!
