What is astCDRview FOR LINUX?

astCDRview

astCDRview is a cool, web-based tool that helps you view your Asterisk SQLite CDRs (Call Detail Records). It’s super lightweight and speaks multiple languages. You can manage different outgoing carriers and incoming numbers all in one place. Plus, it has features for billing, an address book, and extensions!

Features of astCDRview

Once you set it up, think of it as a filter that turns raw data into something easy to understand. Here are some standout features:

• The interface supports multiple languages (currently English and Italian).


• You can manage multiple outbound carriers.


• It tracks various inbound numbers.


• Billing is flexible, with options to bill by seconds or minutes.


• You can import/export rates using CSV files.

Address Book Features

This tool also makes managing contacts simple:

• Add readable names to extensions or even multiple names if needed.


• A contact can have several phone numbers, each with its own description.


• You can link multiple email addresses to contacts too!


• If you have just a few contacts, it shows them all on one page.


• If there are many, you get a nice searchable form.

Speed and Flexibility

You can disable features you don’t use to speed things up. Query options are super flexible:

• Select only outbound calls or just incoming ones—or both!


• Check results for a specific carrier or all of them at once.


• You can look up calls within a date range or filter by phone number.

This means you can easily find out how many calls were made and the total time spent on those calls. And yes, it sums up the total billed amount for you!

Limitations

While it's great, there are some limitations:

• The setup rules may be strict based on your PBX configuration.


• The billing engine has limited capabilities when it comes to advanced rate plans.


• Your transferred calls might not display clearly due to Asterisk CDR limits—but this is being worked on!

Requirements for Installation

If you're looking to install astCDRview, here’s what you'll need:

• Asterisk with SQLite CDR enabled.
• A PHP-enabled web server.
• The SQLite module must be available in PHP.

To get started, uncompress the astCDRview tarball under your web server's root folder. Make sure certain files are writable by your web server's user for smooth operation!
