AutoRun Maker Portable

This is the portable edition of AutoRun Maker. As its name implies, the tool allows you to create AutoRun files for your directories.

Since installation is not required, you can place AutoRun Maker Portable on a removable device (like a USB flash drive), store it on any computer and directly run its executable file.

More importantly, there are no new entries added to the Windows registry and no leftover items can be found after program removal.

The interface of the program is based on a standard layout where you can import directories via the tree view ("drag and drop" is not supported). You can get started by editing the label and autoplay label, as well as by adding an icon.

In the following steps, you can select the file you want to automatically run and set up their parameters, as well as configure shell commands. These options can be restored to their default values and projects can be saved for further editing (AMSF).

From the 'Settings' area you can enable the option to save AutoRun Maker settings, make the tool overwrite the existing 'autorun.inf' file and to automatically open it when the task is done, as well as make file associations and enable the autorun settings for CD/DVD drives.

The application needs a moderate amount of CPU and system memory, has a good response time and quickly finishes a task. No error dialogs have been displayed throughout our testing and AutoRun Maker Portable did not freeze or crash. There's also user documentation available. However, the tool has not received updates recently.
