Backgammon is a fun and easy board game where your goal is to move all your pegs in a counter-clockwise direction. The finish line? Getting them all to the lower right area of the board so you can take them off! The first player to remove all their pegs wins the game.
To get started, roll a pair of dice. The numbers on the dice tell you how many steps you can move your pegs. For instance, if you roll a 3 and a 6, you can move one peg three steps and another peg (or the same one) six steps.
If you happen to roll doubles, like two 5s, that means more moves for you! You can move four different pegs by five steps each. Pretty cool, right?
You can only move your pegs into columns that are empty or filled with your own pegs. But watch out! If a column has two or more of your opponent's pegs, you're not allowed to land there.
If there's just one of your opponent's pegs on a column, you can land there and knock it off! When this happens, their knocked-off peg has to start all over from the beginning.
If any of your pegs are knocked off during the game, those have to be moved back onto the board before moving any other pegs. So keep an eye out for that!
You need to make as many moves as possible based on what you rolled. For example, if you rolled a 6 and a 3 but can't use both moves for some reason, then go ahead and move the 6!
